‘STROKETABLE’
couchtable

My new table design is inspired by optical illusions and plays with material layering.
In the end this minimal couch table design derives from a simple marker sketch.
Currently available in 5 different colours plus natural from ash & maple. All tables are handmade.

‘SPQR LAMP’

An assumption I actually had while back about how inflationary & creative use of banned symbols would deactivate their misuse & identificatory coding aka ‘Proactive Symbol Recycling’

Would like to figure out in an later art/conceptional project with contemporary cutting edge designed pieces that would even intensify this approach.

This maybe aims in the same direction as famous Fraktur Mon Amour

and should not go in a satirical direction as this:

What do you think? — pls comment!

INTO INFOGAPHICS: CREATING A VECTORSHAPES RESOURCE
A new field of design activity

“People don’t want long complex texts. They want short text and cool images!” ~ Hannes Grebin ;)

Will try to make a business out of this. Since even my design ideas I wouldn’t go through the hard process of modelling, texturing and rendering to have something to speak about before actually investing money on prototyping.

— Nope! I will design my own ever growing free library of cartoon caracters, clipart and pictogrammes inspired by the above → Royalty-Free Cartoon Vectors Set to finally give everyone the ability to express themselves in a quick way.

This will either motivate me to keep track in doing so and hopefully inspire others to join & contributing currently not available vector shapes for different topics (i.e. cartoon shapes for describing veterinarian issues, a liver, or a skull)

For me myself this means being even able to express and spread my over hundreds relevant ideas (currently on hold or in a drawer) in a minute and convince or find possible businesspartners even via spreading them over several internet channels.

Benefits, Usage & Motivation

For others there are so many opportunities:
Simply imagine me, never being a very good reader (ADD, right ;): Actually I get tired from reading, even the book is non-ficition i get distracted after some pages or dreaming away infront of a pianos notes.

But reading and scribbling some figures & concepts today (little cartoon men with loads of different stuff to do ;) on the white margins of my new ‘Green Smoothies’ book I was immediately thinking about how it would be like back then in childhood having not long texts but overexciting colourful picturebooks and some lines.
So I immediately thought:
Hey, Hannes, freakin’ awesome, that’s the key!: Let’s simply translate all those actually cool concepts encrypted in ‘text-books’ or in my drawers into some convincing images!
In those cluttered and distracted times you better get to the point quickly. Back to the roots: like a caveman on his cave’s walls ;)

Anyway, we could discuss even the process of type invention over the last centuries and why people in general had to get rid of images, and how long images would take to be drawn or that there are even millions of scientists who would think visually and have been struggling for years. — But fuck it:

It’s time for some paper-dress-up-doll-style cartoon-collection data base, where you can simply arrange your big ideas for you and share it via all digital channels within a sec.

I will proof it on www.theacademyoflife.tumblr.com  where I want to break down all useful stuff concerning ‘Green Smoothies’ on 2 or 3 colourful slides and spread them over all channels (ffffound, tumblr, dribble, behance in the next days. I just imagine how quick and motivating the creation of vectors actually is. You build your own army of love ;)

Stay tuned or better get in contact!

SETTING UP THE COOOP-PAGE —Had the idea to create a network/platform where I would ally with highly skilled ‘dreamers’ & ‘doers’ from the creative industry as well as all possible fields to change the world.Approach would be design-thinking. Would be nice to have a profound portfolio of friendly and highly skilled people asap who would team up in different combinations from time to time to think about the big issues (visionary projects).

TWEAKING OF JAIME HAYON’S “FAUTEUIL RO” CHAIR
As you might see in this article → Fauteuil RO par Fritz Hansen x Jaime HAYON I was wondering why his chair when it comes to legs looks different to the proper couch. Production purposes? Anyway, couldn’t help myself to quickly PS-tweak it. Find it more complete. Here is a closer image of the original chair:

SAT1-NEWS DESK

In collaboration with V-SION, a Berlin based company that is specialised in virtual TV-environment designs, we worked on a complete re-design for SAT1-News and its virtual studio. The brief was to establish a more dynamic workflow and camera setup to finally make things more up-to-date and charismatic.

We are happy being fully involved in the conceptional phase and came up with a brand new desk design which supports more moderation positions, adds extra space for a second guest and with its fully adjustable LED illumination it integrates fully into the fresh dynamic over all design of the virtual studio.
